Key Points:
1. Independent
Recruiters (Sometimes proudly referred to as
"HEADHUNTERS") are hired by Client Companies to locate
and present individuals that match the Companies specific
requirements.
2. Recruiters
work on many search assignments from many different Client
Companies. Some Search Assignments are very similar in
requirements, others are not.
3. It is
said that Recruiters are "Information Gatherers."
4. When
you first talk to a Recruiter, be open, listen to what they say;
respond to their questions telling them all about yourself. Get
your resume to them as soon as possible. Cooperate with them. They
can only help you.
5. Trust
the Recruiter because they work in confidence, you can tell the
truth with accurate detailed answers, help them help you.
6. Remember,
the more they know about you, the better job they can do.
7. Sometimes,
when a Recruiter contacts you during a particular search, they
discover that you would better match a different situation and
they shift gears and work that situation to see if there is a
match. Recruiters are flexible, working very hard to match "The
Right Person To The Right Job".
